New Hampshire's Bling Bling Ring Fling
I read an article today about a housepainter in Hollis NH who apparently stole a ring, worth about $7,000. He must have been a few sandwiches short of a picnic, because he thought swallowing the ring at the police station was a good idea.
Well, he was taken to a local hospital, and it was decided a medical necessity to perform surgery to get the ring out. It's a good guess that the surgery probably cost $30,000 or more....
And so, I want to know who pays for the surgery?
Also see Red Orbit and Nashua Telegraph articles.

New Hampshire Trying to Save Barbers
In the usually sane and practical State of New Hampshire, barbers have had rough times. In the 1980s, some idiot decided that barbers need to know coloring, curling and styling techniques...
With the presence of barbers dwinding in the state, lawmakers are trying to remedy the situation.
Okay... so what is really behind this?
The current hair salons can easily take up the slack for the barbers... it must be a nostalgic guy thing.

A Hirewire Moose
According to Snopes, during the year 2004 a moose became entangled in power lines that were under construction.
The cables were raised, which in turn hoisted the moose 50 feet in the air. Learn about his fate and see a photograph.
